Challenge
1960s automatic, no power reserve
A watch owner brought in a 1960s automatic that would stop within a few hours of full winding. Previous repairs elsewhere had not resolved the issue.
Solution
Diagnosis identified a fatigued mainspring and a worn barrel arbor. We quoted mainspring and barrel service at ฿5,700 and proceeded after confirmation. Parts were replaced and the movement was tested for two days.
Result
Power reserve restored to approximately 36 hours. Timing steady at +8 sec/day crown up. The owner had been considering retiring the watch — they kept it.

Challenge
Vintage dress watch, erratic running
An early 1970s hand-wound watch was running, but losing 3–4 minutes a day and occasionally stopping mid-afternoon with no obvious reason.
Solution
Diagnosis found dried lubricant on the escapement and a worn impulse jewel. Full overhaul recommended. Strip-down, ultrasonic clean, new jewel fitted, fresh lubrication throughout.
Result
Running at +4 sec/day across six positions. Amplitude above 270 degrees. Service record issued with full timing data. Owner described it as better than it had ever been.
