Mainspring & Barrel
Replacement of tired mainsprings and servicing of the barrel to restore steady power reserve, with cleaning and lubrication of related parts. Work is proportionate to the piece and discussed with you first.

Full Mechanical Overhaul
A complete strip-down, clean, and rebuild of a mechanical movement, finished with multi-position timing over several days. We share progress at each stage and proceed only with your approval.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a movement diagnosis take?
Most diagnoses are completed within two to three working days. We will let you know the expected timeframe when you drop off the watch. For watches with unusual complications, it may take a little longer to assess properly.
Do I have to commit to a repair after the diagnosis?
No. The diagnosis gives you a clear picture of the watch's condition and a cost for any recommended work. You are free to collect the watch at that point if you prefer not to proceed. There is no obligation.
What types of watches do you work on?
We focus on mechanical movements — hand-wound and automatic. This includes vintage pocket watches as well as modern wristwatches. We do not currently work on quartz movements or battery replacements.
How long does a full overhaul take?
A full mechanical overhaul typically takes between two and four weeks, depending on the movement and parts availability. Multi-position timing requires the watch to run for several days after reassembly, which is built into that estimate.
Are the prices shown all-inclusive?
The prices listed are the service fees. If replacement parts are needed — such as a worn mainspring or a damaged jewel — those costs are quoted separately and agreed before the work proceeds. Nothing is added without your knowledge.
Is my watch safe while it is with you?
Watches in our care are kept in a secure workshop and logged individually. We treat each piece with the same level of care regardless of its value. If you have concerns about a particularly valuable watch, please mention this when you bring it in.
